Amidst all the negativity and fear surrounding the novel coronavirus, our team found a way to live up to our mantra and “be the good.” On Friday, our team made the decision to temporarily close Firefly Cafe and Bakery. But the silver lining is that we donated our “leftover food” — perfectly good food that would have otherwise been thrown away — to the Henry and Williams Evans Home for Children. Not only does this support the Evans Home’s mission of serving children in need in our community, but it helps us to reduce food waste. Helping others and doing our part to help the environment? We consider that a win-win! Until we reopen, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay home. Love, Team Firefly
